Miller Bets on Internships for Future Job Growth

One of the areas that we have always focused on at G3 is the role of the internship in the resouce identification and creation process. Our first internship class was 1999-2000 in our Blacksburg, VA Headquarters at Virginia Tech. One of the original two interns from that class at Virginia Tech is still with us today and even is Director of Systems Integration for G3. In 2009, G3 launched a high school internship program in support of the Center for Information Technology (CIT) at Deep Run High School in the Henrico County Public School (HCPS) system out of the Richmond, VA office of G3. Most of these 200 extremely bright and talented kids were born since1993 when G3 was founded. The end result is that G3 has great talent for 1-2 years before they go off to college and for some that choose to go to Virginia Tech, they can explore the option of 4-5 years at G3 as a college intern. That gives G3 5-7 years to help develop the talents of these already very talented kids and provide then an extra 2-3 years after graduation to get oriented. All in all, G3 might be able to say that in 2020 that we have a 25 year old employee that has 10 years of professinal and technical experience with G3 and the value of that person in the workforce, to G3 and to the individual is measured in more than just dollars and cents. This my friends is the Next-Generation of Economic Recovery on Jobs. We need to GROW those jobs from the inside out and that needs to start today.

G3 is proud to recommend INTERNSHIPS.COM for all your internship needs. New iPhone application is also available.

Miller joins the New Dominion Angels (NDA)

I have had the great pleasure of working with some of the greatest angel investors around, but the New Dominion Angels (NDA) are among the best. They have excellent deal flow, they select good candidates, the do their homework on due diligence and while they don’t always say YES, they believe in a quick NO and don’t drag things on forever and when they do say YES, as they have 3 time now in the last 2 years, they expedite funding quickly. It is a great group and I am proud to be a member. Thanks Mike and Frank.

Miller Joins Better Businees Bureau (BBB) Board

I have to say that after 17 years in business and not a single complaint of any kind to the BBB, it was an honor for me to have them ask if I would participate on their Board. Business ethics and customer satisfaction are two key ingredients to why we have done so well in all my efforts. While I was unable to attend the prior meeting, I am looking forward to the next one and the opportunity to be albe to help businesses achieve a high degree of success.

Miller Attends ECPI Board Meeting

I am very fortunate to get the chance to work with the next generation of young minds that will impact the landscape of business and technology. I have served on the Board of ECPI for close to 2 years now and each meeting we have it always better than the next. The April 16, 2010 meeting was no different. With handheld and mobile applications being a huge market, educational providers like ECPI are uniquely positioned to be able to move quickly to adjust the courses to take full advantage of preparing their students for a productive and rewarding career. My hats off to all in attendance. It was a great session and one that will set the stage for more great things to come.
